Dear readers, I’m back.  Here to say I haven’t forgotten you and hope you haven’t forgotten me.  More important, I haven’t forgotten about food history.  This week I have a piece in American Food Roots on 19th-century Capitol HIll ‘s culinary history.  No, I’m not talking about forerunners of the trendy Hill restaurants that have been getting a lot of national attention lately.  I’m referring to the food served at the boardinghouses where members of Congress lodged.
